Athletes from the Team BC ID Camp in PG donated over 270lbs of food to got towards Volleyball BC's Winter ID Camp food drive, tops in the province. Add the 250lbs of food that was donated at the camp in Ft St John and the North Region has donated over 500lbs! Great work by all athletes from across the region!
Erika Morris, a 6'1" outside hitter/middle blocker who just recently finished her high school career at PGSS, has signed with the Camosun Chargers for next season. Camosun College, located in Victoria, play in the Pacwest conference of the Canadian College Athletic Association. The Chargers are coached by former PGYVC administrator Chris Dahl. Morris played for Dahl on the 18U Team BC that won the National Team Challenge Cup in Winnipeg in July. Erika also suited up for the Gold Medal winning entry from BC at the Western Canada Summer Games held in Kamloops in August.
Registration for the 2012 club volleyball season will take place on December 10 & 11, 2011.
Kodiak Teams - Kodiak teams are our travelling teams that compete against clubs throughout the province at Volleyball BC events and then against clubs from across Canada at Western Canadian Open or Canadian Open Championships. There are Kodiak teams for 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U girls as well as 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U boys.
